Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has announced an open bidding process for the modification of its Career Guidance Building into a classroom block. The project, referenced as MUBS/WRKS/25-26/00004, is aimed at expanding the institution’s learning facilities to meet the growing student population and enhance the academic environment.
According to the official notice, the project is supported by funds allocated from the Government of Uganda. All interested and eligible bidders are invited to participate, with the process being conducted under the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 and its accompanying regulations.

- Bid Security: UGX 30,000,000 (Thirty Million Shillings)
- Bid Submission Deadline: September 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
- Bid Opening: September 15, 2025, at 11:45 a.m., Procurement and Disposal Unit, Block 1, Bursar’s Office, Room 28.
- Pre-Bid Meeting & Site Visit: September 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at MUBS.
- Bidding Document Fee: UGX 300,000, payable via bank deposit after obtaining a PRN from the Bursar’s Office.
Interested bidders may obtain bidding documents and further details from the Procurement and Disposal Unit, Block 1, Bursar’s Office, Room 30 during working hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.).
The procurement schedule outlines that the evaluation process will be completed within 15 working days of the bid closing date, with the display of the best evaluated bidder notice expected within five working days of the Contracts Committee award. Contract signing will follow after the mandatory waiting period and, where applicable, the Attorney General’s approval.
