Prof. Musa B. Moya is a distinguished academic with over 28 years of experience in teaching, research, administration, and consulting. He holds a PhD in ICT, a Master of Statistics, and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Makerere University. He is currently a faculty of FCI at MUBS and used to sit on key institutional bodies, including the MUBS Council and Academic Board
Research, Mentorship & Scholarly Impact
- Recognized by the AD Scientific Index among the Top 200 Scientists in Uganda for both 2022 and 2023.
- Prolific researcher with over 50 international peer-reviewed publications, co-author of four books, and frequent manuscript reviewer.

Consulting & Development Contributions
Prof. Moya has served as an external examiner for doctoral and Master’s programs at universities across East Africa, including University of Nairobi, University of Dar es Salaam, Kyambogo University, Kampala International University, and ICT University Cameroon.
He has led the development of high-impact grant proposals, including an ADB-funded project that supported the construction of a new computing faculty facility complete with labs, multimedia studios, and conference spaces.
