Digitisation Committee
The Digitisation Committee is a Committee of school management mandated with the role of overseeing the automation and digitisation of MUBS processes and functions. The committee Chairperson is Dr. John Paul Kasse who is supported by several other committee members.
Role and purpose: The committee provides guidance and expertise necessary to deliver digital automation to MUBS.
The Committee provides counsel to MUBS community (staff, students and Clients) in fulfilling the mission to ensure student success through provision and promotion of excellent services.
It further advises MUBS management and community on building the foundation for eLearning curriculum and course development, in accordance with NCHE requirements.
The committee specific TORs include;
The committee shall be guided by the following terms of reference subject to any direction that may fall in place by management
Establish a single portfolio of digitisation process management and financing to ensure sustainable achievement of MUBS vision and mission.
Source and champion school wide innovations for the various processes and activities.
Establish a roadmap for achieving a digital MUBS – A map of how to deliver digitisation processes and services.
Provide a clear and appropriate governance framework to guide change improvement and digital infrastructure acquisition.
To initiate, direct and recommend to management relevant digital technologies and digital priorities to be achieved within short term, midterm and long-term.
Receive and approve plans for enriching digitisation projects portfolio.
Establish policies to govern information security and data privacy.
Monitor operationalisation and implementation of the digitisation roadmap involving systems and infrastructure, and recommend major decisions relating to change and management of digitisation.
Identify, Prioritise and monitor implementation of supporting technologies for theMUBS disabled community and devise mechanisms for their full integration in teaching, learning and work.
Monitor the implementation of the eLearning School-wide vision based on the most current nationally-recognized eLearning trends, regional and national standards
Promote the eLearning work plan and monitor achievement of the goals such as:
– Equipping staff to teach online and hybrid courseso Guide, lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of online courses and programs
o Receive and evaluate reports from e-learning and MIS and assessrecommendations.Compile a report to Principal on a monthly basis.
Profile IT related risks and health hazards to ensure work place safeguarding for staff
and students.
