The Bachelor of Leadership and Governance Program was introduced in the Academic Year 2006/2007 and housed in the Department of Leadership and Governance. The introduction of the program was in response for the need to develop knowledgeable and skilled personnel in leadership and Governance to act as change agents in the social, economic and political atmosphere of the modern world. It had been realised overtime that leadership and Governance plays a crucial role in the development of societies more so in the developing world where Uganda is part. Important to note, was the fact that there was no program at the time that comprehensively addressed the Leadership and Governance questions that were emerging and hence the Bachelor of Leadership and Governance was envisioned to bridge that gap.
