As business opportunities embedded in vast generated data lakes continue to surface, forward-looking organizations are realizing great needs in new data management and analytics technologies and professionals. The Diploma in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics programme is intended to teach students analytic techniques, data management, and statistics to become effective analysts and informed users of business data. Career Path
- Junior Data Engineer/Architect – Prepares the big data infrastructure to be analyzed by the data scientist. Design, build and integrate data from various sources and manage big data.
- Junior Data Scientist – Turn raw data into purified insights. Use statistics, machine learning and analytical approaches to solve business problems.
- Junior Data analysts – Queries and processes data, provide reports, summarize and visualize data.
- Junior Business Intelligence Developer – Interact with stakeholders to understand the reporting needs and then collect requirements, design and build BI and reporting solutions for organizations.

Entry Requirements
Admission into the first year is through this avenue:
- Direct entry;
A candidate must have:
- Sat U.C.E. examination (or equivalent) and obtained a Certificate with at least 5 passes with a credit in Mathematics or its equivalent; and
- Obtained at least one principal level pass at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (U.A.C.E.).
