About the Unit

The Academic Board is the second body in the hierarchy of the University. The Board is comprised of the Principal who is the Chairperson of the board, Deputy Principal, School Registrar who is also the Secretary to the Board, Chiefs of regional campuses, Faculty Deans, Heads of Departments and Directors of particular units (HR, Bursar). The Academic Board comprises of different committees including; Admissions Board, School Course Review Committee, School Irregularities Committee, Faculty Boards and School Appeals Committee.

The Academic Board section provides secretariat support to the Academic Board and its subcommittees, communicates decisions to respective staff, students and clients, organizes for approval of the University examination results, provide assistance in the development of and modification of regulations and procedures, handle student’s cases of malpractices, student’s appeals, consider the development of new academic programmes and review of existing programmes as well as effectively communicate academic policy and enforce it fairly.
